DURANGO - A medical helicopter responding to a logging accident Thursday afternoon crashed in rural southwestern Colorado near the town of Mancos.

The Federal Aviation Administration says all three people on board were killed.

The accident happened around 2:20 p.m. The FAA says the medical helicopter was operated by Tri-State Careflight.

Another medical helicopter was dispatched from Farmington, New Mexico, to ferry the original victim.

Mancos is west of Durango, near Mesa Verde National Park.

God bless them. We've lost a few here as well. It's a tough job and there are too many of these tragedies.

We have lost a few here in Utah as well. Just goes to show ya the nature of the beast. My hats off to all of them for a job well done. They will be missed.
