The talk group used by AMR was the same one CareFlite used when they had the Johnson County contract, so I suspect they will be using it after the changeover.

I’m out of range for the Johnson County site so someone in the county will need to confirm.

CareFlite uses the Megahertz DMR system for helicopter dispatch and response, as well as ground EMS units in Hill County

Over the last month or so, I have been hearing CareFlite dispatching “mutual aid” ground EMS calls to Johnson County addresses. Perhaps AMR did not have an available unit for response.

They are using the Johnson County frequency AMR used. Just don’t know where unit number are stationed.
