Rumor has it that Carlisle will be moving their PD and borough services over to the Cumberland County OpenSky system later this year. When this occurs the frequecies currently used by the Carlisle system will be utilized by Cumberland County for additional frequencies for the county system. However I don't imagine the switch will be made until the county can resolve several issues with the system (see earlier posts in the forum).

All Cumberland County PD are already using the new Open Sky. There have been some tower issues in Shippensburg causing some low-band simulcasts to be done on the west end of the county, but everyone else is on 800.

FD switches over in June. Radio installs are in progress at this time, as well as training on the new radios....a lot of companies already have installs complete and are using test talkgroups for training and local calls.

Did I miss something?

Unless I misheard Carlisle PD was still using their own Motorola trunked system tg 48 as of today. With the possible exception of a patch being used I believe all the talkgroups on the system are still in use.
