CARMA Friday Nighter NEW LOCATION

The next CARMA Friday Nighter will be this Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Hinsdale Oasis on I-294, the Tri-State Tollway. Figure on arriving about 7:00 PM, the first guys there should please try to find an area to site that would allow typical Friday Nighter seating.

To get to the Hinsdale Oasis from the north take the Tri-State SB past Ogden Ave (US-34) and the Ike (I-290).

To get there from the south take the Tri-State NB past I-55.

There is no legal access to the Oasis from surface streets so you should only access it from the Tollway.

Some of us are going to meet at Phillies about 5:00 PM or so prior to the Oasis to grab some chow.

Remember that there will likely be no power available for laptops or radios at the Oasis but the WiFi should be working.

For those of us who attended the CARMA Friday Nighter at the Hinsdale Oasis on I-294 last night, how did you like that location? I think we had 8-10 attendees, but didn't take an actual head-count.

Rich, what did you think, and did you take a head-count?

I think there were 7 or 8 all told, including a new guy. The snow storm during the Friday Night rush hour didn't help.

While this Oasis wasn't bad I still kind of prefer the O'Hare Oasis due to the proximity of ORD, for vieing and listening to aircraft.

I can deal with either location.
