Starting a new thread from the previous Legend thread I mentioned the Glory.
On the Carnival Glory on a TA found these used regular DMR shown by the SDS100 scanner:

457.5375 sl1 cc4 tg 252 bridge
457.6 sl1 cc2 tg 253 engineering
457.5375 sl2 cc4 tg 255 fire patrol
457.525 sl1 cc9 tg 256 shore excursions/debarkation
457.55 sl2 cc3 tg 257 engineering
457.525 sl2 cc9 tg 258 ?

While in port in Spain one day also saw this from the Carnival Dream. It was the only other cruise ship in port:

457.5625 sl1 cc9 tg 3001 bridge
457.55 sl1 cc10 tg 3002 engineering
457.575 sl1 cc11 tg 3003 fire patrol
457.5375 sl2 cc12 tg 3008 engineering

Still on the glory. Looks like security got some new radios recently.

Hard to read the screen, other than the Alpha Tag is "DECK" any idea of the Channel# and Zone ?

I'll try and get a better pic. We have another week and only one port so I should be able to. Trying to do ot without being too obvious is interesting.
I have not been scanning for mototrbo on my SDS100. I am wondering if I should also include that?
I still do hear traffic on the DMR scanning I am doing but interestingly enough not the security stuff I used to. I am only getting the bridge stuff and engineering. So sounds like I may need to do some more digging.

I'll confirm the restaurant is analog on 462.6125 CTCSS 67.0

As far as security, I cannot get a better look than what I posted.
It does look like Zone1 is on the radio.
From listening it sounds like TG 252 is Security running around checking door sensors or alarms around the ship.
I'll keep checking.
I am also running an SDR dongle with DSD+ survey mode to see if it picks up something more than the SDS100.
Survey is running basically from 457 to 471 MHz.
It's my first time running that so it is a learning process.
Any tips are appreciated.

I have been on 40+ cruises in the past 3 1/2 years. I always book an interior cabin. I never had a problem monitoring the ship's DMR system from the cabin. This is the first cruise where my cabin is acting like a Faraday cage. Thinking I was not hearing a normal amount of chatter I I put the scanner in a small carry bag and went up on deck and all the DMR TGs for the ship were much more active. So something in this particular cabin is filter the transmissions.
I am literally right above the casino but never got any hits. I also took my bag with scanner in tow down to the casino.
Now I can confirm the casino staff are using analog 467.5 DCS 043 for their transmissions. Found this with the Close Call feature on the SDS100.
I also decided to have a chat with a security person. I introduced myself and explained I was a licensed amatuer radio enthusiast in the US. We chatted a bit and he was not too knowledgeable about radio "stuff".
I asked if these were new radios and he did say no that they have been in use for 3-4 years on the ship.
He was nice enough to take it off his belt clip and show me it. Also cycled through all the channels.
Looks like just one zone with these labeled channels
Engine, Medical, Deck, Security, Guest Services and Emergency.
There were probably more but I may not have recalled them all and I didn't want to ask too many questions.
Overall a good day.
