Does anyone have a list of the new talk groups (if there are new ones) for the Carrollton/Farmers Branch/Addison system? I saw the new Type II for Carrollton for FD and PD, but no others.

If I've messed up my scanner and I should be able to pick up the old ones, could someone let me know as well?

Thank you, Brian

Guess I need some help before I mess up the configuration in my Uniden BC780XLT. Have been trunk tracking for a number of years now but have only been listening to the Plano, Richardson,
and Garland systems in recent times.

The Carrollton Type I system was correctlly programmed and worked just fine several years ago. Now I discover they have upgraded to some kind of Type II system and I'm somewhat confused about reprogramming.

1) Is it a Type II system (period) so that I should delete all of the
fleet/subfleet maps? If so, why is the fleet map info still showing in the TRS database?

2) Or is it some type of hybrid combo system whereby I should retain the fleet maps but simply change the talkgroup IDs in my various scan lists?

Any assistance very much appreciated.

Does anybody know who uses 52144 and 57328?
I can't tell what city it is but they sound like public works type comms.

I was just going to post a query about TG-52144. It's still not in the Carrollton/Farmers Branch/Addison database.

The traffic I heard this morning referred to a hangar door that had come off track, trapping a plane inside. I notice that there are no specific airport (non-aviation) TGs on the system. I would have expected some. Does anyone who listens to this TRS more often than I do have any ideas?

Carrollton is all type 2, and has been for some time. One of their techs is a member here and has posted that to be true:

Granted they are up to 3 transmitter sites now instead of two- one in Carrollton, one in Addison at the Spectrum center, and one in Farmers Branch somewhere.

The talkgroups listed for the system here are accurate. I listen to this system quite a bit, but only the police/fire/EMS stuff-- have the Public works programmed in but shut off so I don't hear any of that, don't really care for that stuff.

If you get a new talkgroup, by all means submit it so we know what it is for. It's quite likely that Addison airport has TGs on here so that's probably indeed what you are hearing.

Carrollton also uses NPSPAC and the RMA channels as it says on the system page.
