Carrying Case for Pro-96

Anyone know of a good carrying case for the Pro-96? All of my previous h/h scanners came with one. Radio Shack doesn't have one on their web site.

I don't think Radio Shack makes an "official" case for the Pro-96. I've seen several on e-Bay before, but they don't look very durable. Besides that, I haven't seen any others for sale.

BTW what scanners have you bought that come with a case? I have never seen a scanner come with a case.

Dubbin, as far as you know, is that similar to the one being sold on e-Bay? Also, can you still sit it upright? The pics kinda make it look rounded towards the bottom which I think would make it hard to stand it up.

I have one of those off Ebay and believe its the same thing as the guy in Mexico is selling. It is a little rounded on the bottom and will not stand up without leaning it against something. I don't stand mine up anyway, so its not an issue for me. It does provide good protection though, so I am very satisfied with it.

Thanks, KT4HX. I would definately pick one up if I knew I could somehow keep it in the same position mine is now. I have to have mine in a certain spot to pick up the digital transmissions in my area and the place I have it is kind of cramped so I don't know. I might compromise though due to the fact that it would give my scanner extra protection.

My last two h/h's were a Uniden BC200XLT and a Regency HX-1500. Both are pretty old now but both came with carry cases with integral belt loops. Also, both would stand up unsupported in the case (although the BC200 wasn't as secure as the Regency), so I never really took them out. I'm surprised there isn't more demand for scanner cases with secure belt loops. I can't imagine traipsin' around an air show all day trusting only the belt clip on the Pro-96. Maybe it's more secure than it seems.

If I come across something that works I will let everyone know.
