For a couple of days this week, a Carson Helicopter has been circling over my house (I guess for testing or something). Verified via ADS-B, but I went searching for frequencies in hope to listen in on whatever testing they were doing, but couldn't find anything. I did find one airband license that was expired, however. Anybody know anything about them?

You can certainly try 123.025, that is the helicopter Unicom umbrella frequency for Philadelphia and surrounding areas. All Choppers announce their location and intentions.

If you did find a Aviation frequency in their name, just because it's expired doesn't mean they don't use it LOL.

I would think searching the aviation band you would have to come up with something being that the chopper is close to you and you're certainly going to hear a transmission stand out loud and clear.

Then again the company could be using a frequency that's not even an aviation frequency.

I had no idea they were even there. After watching this large helicopter circle the area, I got the idea that maybe one of the ADS-B websites could help me identify it, and sure enough there it was. A quick look up of the tail number led me to Carson. I guess they are a specialty manufacturer (they claim that Marine-1's rotors are their design - allow for better fuel economy, more lifting capacity, higher speeds).

The expired license on the FCC site is not for a frequency (from what I can see), it's just a call sign. I'm not sure how that works, though (I thought all aircraft were "licensed" as soon as they received an FAA tail number).
