What consumer debt? If you can't afford it don't buy it, or have we learned nothing in the wake of the mortgage scandal? That out of the way this is a two edged sword, not only does it boost consumer spending key to economic recovery but it reduces energy costs and that invisible to most people carbon footprint. Wait until the carbon tax/credit trading scheme lands at your doorstep and energy costs go through the roof, you'll be thankful for every penny saved.

Since I can never resist a bit of sarcasm; buy it now, later you won't have a pot to pee in.

Ah yes...another example of the classsic street-corner shell game on a grand scale. Hope someone somewhere is proud.
