Cass County SO P25

Howdy, everyone!

On the way home tonight, around 1730, and again just a few minutes ago, at 2020, I heard what I believe to be P25 traffic on the "West" channel of the Cass County 800 MHz. system.

Both times, the transmission was short and sans voice, but it indeed "lit up" the P25 indicator on both my BCD396T and BC796D radios.

Has anyone on here heard of plans to start testing P25 capabilities on the CCSO system?

They ocasionally have car to car P25 conversations George.

I heard a 3 minute one on SE zone the other night. Sorry, I was so startled, that I forgot to get
the NAC for you.

The repeaters are multimode. They just can't control them on digital yet from the consoles.

Thanks for the confirmation! Yeah - I know that Plattsmouth PD does quite a bit of P25 car-to-car traffic, but until recently, hadn't heard it on the CCSO repeaters.

So, the 3-minute conversation you heard was P25 through the repeater then?
