CASTLE ROCK - Firefighters say a woman had to be taken to the hospital after a garage fire Sunday afternoon.


It happened around 4:20 p.m. at a home at 3555 Morning Glory Dr.

The Castle Rock Fire Department says a woman inside the home went into the garage to try to put out the fire but something exploded. She sustained second-degree burns but is expected to recover.

Another person and two dogs inside the home were able to get out and were not hurt.

Firefighters say it took them 20 minutes to put out the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
