I may have been wrong in my assumption that he was headed for Centennial. Is the tail number required to see his flight track? I got N535.. but missed the rest.

They mentioned the possibility of a second occupant, but I haven't heard anything else.

DCFD Ops-3 fire fighters reporting the lines were hit and are frayed. The power company will look at them in the morning, this may not be a good idea on a cold night with ice.

Will NTSB be coming to this one? Or do they only respond to "commercial"-type incidents involving larger aircraft?

It's reported the female pilot was awake and had self extricated from the wreckage, she also reported icing to APA tower prior to the crash.

Female pilot. Factory demo aircraft. Aircraft not rated for flight into known icing. Route was Hayden to Front Range. Pilot diverted to Centennial due to weather and icing conditions.

(All of the above learned via unofficial sources and various Internet sources. Typical final accident report from NTSB will take one year, minimum.)

Personal observation: A really poor night to choose to fly a single engine aircraft with no icing protection. I was driving in the same fog and icing up the ground vehicle out here in Elbert County most of that afternoon. She's lucky to have survived it.

P.S. All the LiveATC feed caught was the Centennial tower warning her she was below minimum safe altitude on the ILS 35R Approach, twice.
