Catawba Co Fire/Rescue/EMS automated dispatch

Sounds like another county is going with automated dispatching. I'm currently hearing Catawba County Fire/Rescue/EMS dispatch with a human voice on the normal dispatch TG, with testing on Catawba County TAC 6. Sounds great!

Probably after they complete all the testing. Iredell tested theirs for about 6 months on a test channel before they went live. There is a lot of work on the back end to get one of these system set up

Do they still check in after hey dispatch in perosn lot them do they use automation and when u check in thell give out some information omit be on same tag or usly.got two dispatch. Channel one alert and one check in and give old depending on nature

Yes, the dispatchers will still radio the units to give additional info. It's just there mainly so they can get the page out while they are on the phone or gathering information. It reduces workload on the dispatcher and gets the call out quicker.
