At risk of "getting shot" for posting this, I'm gonna go ahead and this is probably not the place to ask, but I'm gonna ask it anyhow-
Does anyone in the Waldo county area of Maine or surrounding counties use CB 27mhz or MURS 151/154mhz?
I have several different radio capabilities at my fingers and they don't get used at all. I would like to put it to use and I used to love talking on the CB when I was younger and MURS many years later. Seems as though no one talks on radio up here in Maine. In fact, when people see my vehicle, the first words out of their mouths are, "What fire department are you on?". When I tell them I TALK on the radio, they get confused, as in, their head spinning in circles confused as to how anyone could talk on a radio or why anyone would talk on a radio when you have cell phones. Any ideas? Maybe Waldo county and surrounding areas don't have anyone on radio?
