CB to 10 meter radio?

I just got CQ magazine and it has an article on 10 mtr am, using a old messenger cb radio, it also has a pic of a Midland in it, which only needs a crystal change.....
Someone ought to go into the biz of doing them on am, it use to be biggg biz for FM...

Back in the 80;s if I remember, the gang in Michigan, now the wireman, converted cb radios to 10 fm, they did over a thousand, and I believe if you look into a few trade magazines a chap in ARIZONA has info on conversions also.
I had one memory time I forgot what model but it worked good on 10 fm for over 10 years then the radio went south, ...

ok ok i know from my past converting radios for freeband and part of 10m that an cb radio is AM some AM/SSB which as far as i know is the only modes allowed on CB, 11M how there for can you change an AM radio to fm?
