I posted on the Uniden board but got no response. I am going to update the firmware on my 396xt and see there is a change to mot cc scanning. On mot trunked systems is their any reason to enter any freqs other than the control channels on a 396xt? What roll does the intelli repeaters play on the NJ system in Atl/Cape counties?

Can't really answer on the NJ Intelli sites, but an Intelli site is regularly used to fill-in DEAD Spots that the Wide-Area-Simulcast systems don't cover. But NOTE - depending on programming of the system, TG's turn-on/turn-off based on affiliation to the site where-as the Wide Area systems generally pass all TG's.

As for the need to enter the Voice Channels, all depends on planning for the system to go into "Fail Soft" mode where there is no CC and all channels become Repeaters with NO PL's
