Hello

would anyone know if there’s a CD holder for the SDS100 instead of normal cup or gooseneck mount?
Thanks much

I tried one found on Ebay, didn't work very well. Plastic part that went into the CD deck pulled out nearly tearing the faceplate off the radio and the scanner fell the floor. I promptly returned it and haven't found anything that I like so for now it just rides in the cup holder.

Forgive me, but that is almost cringe worthy. Using the CD deck slot to stick a device (not a cd) into the CD slot to hold a device that is around a pound seems as unwise as carrying your radio by your teeth. While I have no idea how well built that slot is, it surly can't hold that weight dependably, in a bouncing environment, for any length of time without damaging the cd player at some point.

I carry an ICOM IC-V8 two way handheld, and have dropped them in the ole' cup holder on their own for years. It weighs just a tad over a pound, and I couldn't imagine even considering putting it in some holder held by a cd slot. Seems much too heavy to do that.

Don't know of one specifically for the sds100, but I use the mpow cd phone mount for my 436. It's been fine for the last 2 years 10hrs a day, 5 days a week bouncing around in a semi truck...

If you have the skinny battery I think it would work ok, but the thickness of the big pack will not.

These mounts afterall are designed for slim phones, not scanners so use at your own risk.
