CDM 1550LS+ Password Reset

I'm sorry I know theirs allot of posts out there about this but all i can find is people bringing it to shops (which I don't want to pay for, the local ones say they'll charge me) or people being PMed the instructions.

I purchased two used ones off of Ebay, the guy that sold me them has no idea what I'm talking about and set me information on how to reset a password on a Motorola cable/Ethernet modem... so I guess he's not an option lol.

I did try a tick I found where I take a blank codeplug and write over it but it seems that does not work either (assuming it has read and write password protection). Being I just bought these, I'd actually prefer to wipe them out.

If anyone could give me any advise I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

You need to contact motorola and setup an account with them then buy their software and programming cable/rib for another couple hundred $$.

Motorola does not make it easy or cheap to program their radios.

Solution: Found a codeplug of same model radio and replaced it over the current radio with a password. It erased the PW no problem. "

The codeplug MUST have the same Model No. of your radio. ie. AAM25SKF9DP6AN

Go over to the batboard and search on: professional password hack

You have to hex edit the CPS, not the codeplug.

Series of radios includes:

HT750 HT1250 HT1550

It may be helpful to search using wildcards.
If someone asks a question about one model,
the answer usually pertains to most, if not all.
They are all programmed with HVN9025 CPS.
The last version of the CPS released before the
product line was discontinued is R06.12.09.


If you need a blank codeplug, there is a folder
full of them, one for each possible model
number on your hard drive. The folder is in
the Program Files where your CPS is installed.
It is labelled SAMPLES.
