I've got a CDM-750 installed in a CDM-Series control station. The radio's internal speaker is disabled as to not compete with the station speaker. The problem is that when I plug in a headset, while the headset works fine, the station speaker also continues producing audio.
I called Motorola tech support, was given a callback ticket, and eventually told that the unit is working as it should be, and my only option is to turn the radio volume all the way down while using the headset. Unfortunately, that doesn't bring the volume nearly low enough - it would still be clearly audible to other users in the room, which is what I'm trying to avoid. I've searched the Professional software (and Google) and it seems the CDM has no minimum volume setting that I can lower.
The settings in the control station are set by a series of Dip switches in the back of the unit, none of which have helped the problem. Thank you in advance for any ideas!
