Hello all,
I have a cdm1250 I bought used off a friend. It is hooked up to the proper fused power plug and powered by a trip-lite power supply that powers up my other 1250 just fine. This particular radio, however, will not power up properly... all I get is a ticking noise from the radio's speaker.
I tried the ignition sense jumper method with no luck.
I tried pulling the control head off the radio (it is setup as a dashmount) and checked out the ribbon cable, which is in tact from what I can tell, and put it all back together, but there is no change.
I have lifted the top cover off and looked around... all looks well.
I have done everything short of trying another control head. I'd rather not mess with the good working one if I don't have to.
Is this a control head issue or something more? There is a possibility there could have been reversed polarity or a short (wires could have touched) to the radio when I was testing it prior to finding the correct power cable in my stash of equipment. Could this be the issue?
Please let me know!
