I just came across Centerfire antennas on here and not sure if that is a new website or not. never heard much about those antennas before.

I have their updated VHF-hi/UHF base scanner antenna 108-900 MHz. I’m pretty happy with it. It receives great on the rail bands and 800-900 MHz. He sells them on ebay at a discount. That’s where I bought mine. I’ll be buying another one for my other scanner soon.

I have one of theirs on my roof right now. Its a 3 element yagi designed for Marine bands, but I use it for Railroad. I bought it on ebay. The owner is very helpful. But honestly, I like my scantenna much better.

I use the Centrefire 1/4 wave groundplane 118mhz-136mhz and usinig belden-9913 ow loss coax and doing an excellent job on the airbands & the Cetrefire multiband dipole and that comes with an f (tv) connector and must use 75ohm cable and its not up on the pole yet and it seems strange in 30 years in the hobby that the first antenna i have seen with an f type connector for an outdoor scanner antenna.

I notice their groundplanes are almost like radio shacks. i'm surprised more people are using them since they look better then radio shacks plus cover 800mhz.
