Any good hiking/ trails to try with a ht?

I'm in salinas.

Fort Ord BLM land is supposed to be pretty good.

UC Santa Cruz has lots of trails, especially if you have a mountain bike.

Elkhorn Slough has a few trails, a good short one at Kirby Park. If your kids like trains, the rails run right past it.

Depends on where you want to go...

Montana de Oro has lots of great trails with views of the ocean and there's great coverage in spots, lots of repeaters in that area.
