* low pressure that was strengthening over the southern rockies will begin to spread snow over central lower michigan by early evening. Accumulations exceeding one inch per hour can be expected at times late tonight into wednesday morning.
* snow could briefly mix with sleet for a time wednesday morning.
* snow will transition to lake effect snow showers wednesday afternoon with locally heavy snow bursts. Snow showers will be accompanied by wind gusts to 40 mph during the evening.
* gusty winds along with rapidly falling temperatures will produce wind chills in the single digits beginning wednesday evening.
