Her Der Folks

I been out of the scanning hobby here since the switch to digital in Central Ohio, and my BCT15x were no longer useful. I am looking for some suggestions for a new home base, I have about $700 - $800 to invest. I have read the reviews, and I have done some basic research, but looking for "real world" usage by folks in Central Ohio (I also visit the Chicago area on occasion). Any help is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I been looking at the Uniden SDS200, is there any "add-on's" needed?

The basic SDS200 will do you proud, but if you want to listen to DMR or NXDN (used only by businesses in the Columbus area) you would have to purchase those upgrades separately.

Curbside was extremely easy, I called and ordered like normal and they met me outside, no problems

The SDS200 is the best scanner for monitoring the Ohio MARCS Digital P25 Simulcast system. You can't go wrong there.
