I'm trying to put the frequencies in my radio. I can't seem to pick up anything other then fire dispatch. I'm not sure if I'm not understanding the listing right or what the issue is, can anyone help?

Are you referring to Centre County P25?
What scanner are you using?
I'm not from the area, but it looks like that's about all your gonna hear on a non-digital/conventional trunking scanner. It looks like they use the P25 TRS and dispatches are repeated on the conventional CH's.

I am using a Baofeng UV-5R. I'm using the 453.9750 frequency for the dispatch. I was assuming that the fire ground channels would be in that same frequency range. I thought that the DEC was the change in the frequency and tried 453.9751 for fireground 2.Screenshot_20200922-222259_Chrome.jpg

Your Baofeng UV-5R will not receive P25 digital ... or any digital transmissions... used in Centre County (or anywhere). It is an analog FM-only receiver.

yup
Since they are listed as using a 800 Mhz trunked system, chances are that any fireground channels are now at 800 mhz or 700 mhz. Might be some stragglers still using older channels though.

So in short, my radio won't work to pick up the firegrounds.
Based on the RR listing above showing the Fireground channels as part of a P25 digital trunked system, that is correct. You need a scanner capable of receiving P25 digital.
