I'm needing a few CEU's to meet my EMT requirements, just curious if anyone knew any classes coming up in the Tulsa area I could get into. I don't work EMS much but PRN occasionally and I've only racked up about 20 in past year and a half.

if you take the EMT-B refresher at OTEMS with Andy Hudson, he'll give you CEUs for sitting through the paramedic refresher (not sure how many). Vehicle extrication is always a fun way to get CEUs IMHO.

I worked for OTEMS for 2 years, I know Andy will hook me up with a few, but I need like 20 or so lol...

your quickest bet would be contacting tulsa life filght. they usually are able to provide a few and then contact OSU fire service training and take a couple of their classes.

What about the CEU's you can purchase? I'm pretty desperate for time with work and the holidays, I have many more than is required but I forgot Oklahoma is a partial acceptance state and about 40 of my hours aren't honored. Thank you for the info though!

as for ceu's you can purchase my first thought is EMS magizines they usually have little articles you read and answer a short little test and usually give you 2-3 ceu's

Vehicle & machinery extrication counts for 12hrs I think, and it seems like there's always someone hosting a class around here. Plus can you name a more enjoyable way to spend you weekend besides flapping a roof & lifting a dash? :D

I'm no longer affiliated with a fire department, I dont have turnouts anymore, so I couldn't take it...
