I was recently informed by a friend that the landing strip at Base Borden is going to be replaced over the next year.This will allow the Globemaster III to land .This is the same type of plane as seen at the Toronto Air Show.I am located just to the east of the Base.I regularly see helicopters flying out of the base to transfer troops etc from the Lake Simcoe Airport just north of Barrie.I will attach a photo of this aircraft.
