26E is currently still in E0590 as of this very moment.

Maybe they're going to get E0903 which is the old #4 Emerg based on the Freightliner conventional cab.

The unit name changes will take place in December. All PUMPs, SQUADs, and ENGINEs will become ENGINEs. All TANKs will become TENDERs. All BRONTOs and AERIALs will become AERIALs. All EMERGs will become RESCUEs.

The crew of 26E was talking to 14 Pump this morning and said they were getting a new red Emerg today; but mentioned it was a "hand me down". Jay, didn't you say you saw a new 4 Emerg at 16 a couple weeks ago? Would 26 be getting the old 4 Emerg? (Not E0903)

Any word on numbering for multiple Engine halls? How about the number or name first?

That's possible too, that 26 would get one of the older Spartan Gladiators. They haven't gone anywhere yet, though.

I don't know if they're going to spend too much time relabeling apparatus. Right now they have a lot of the pumpers labeled "ENGINE" already, so it shouldn't take much work.

If I get my way, we will call them 10-01 Engine and 10-02 Engine for what used to be 10 Pump and 10 Squad, etc.

So, 26 is in its new Emerg now. They didn't give the Emerg number however, but I'm sure Jay will know which rig they are in.

Evidently, they've had it for a bit. :) It's probably a tight squeeze though.

You will probably have heard me wrestling with "13 Pump" this afternoon... as I expected, it seems like CFD is going to rename 27 Pump as 13. No official word on it yet.

Where did P5008 go to?

I haven't seen it logged in yet. My guess would be it's reserved for 35 Pump (or, by then, 35 Engine).

Word is CFD has taken delivery of three new/leased quints. They are supposedly in the city somewhere.. my guess would be at Training, tucked away inside the building. I would presume they will go into service when people get trained on them.

One of the old aerials, I think A1582 (either it or its sister A1682), is parked along the fence at the training center, in the corner of abandon.

The boneyard at HQ is also getting kinda full.. if you haven't driven along 11 St SE north of 42 Av, you are missing out on seeing a metric ton of scrap iron shaped like puke yellow fire trucks..

I thought i saw one of the quints on the news this smorning at a crash on deerfoot trail, north bound by station #4. Im not to sure.

I thought A1582 and/or 1682 were disposed of a LONG, LONG time ago!?!?!?

I take it no one really has any info or pics of these leased quints yet?

,thanks

It sounds like we'll have to make a road trip with some cameras and see what the scoop is.

Can you get us into Training Jay? :D

If you just heard me, it was a neat trick 'cause I was snoring. I just woke up after working 1800-0200 last night on my last night shift for the tour.

21 got an aerial back last night (A0892). I don't know how we came up with an extra aerial, 'cause I'm 99% certain the new ones are not online yet.
