I use a Uniden BCD436HP and though I can hear the Main and Englewood frequencies for both Fire and EMS, I cannot hear the other special frequencies--do I need to use the "Tone-Out" feature for that or possibly another system? I manually input all of my frequencies but if I need to use Sentinel I can learn. I monitor more law enforcement frequencies than fire but I want to learn more how to use my scanner to the fullest.

I'm really looking for Fireground and the Ops channels mostly.

You won't hear any station tone-outs and such since it's all done via fiber optic cables. Also, the Fireground, Ops 7-10, Admin, etc channels are all simplex (not repeated). You need to be near a scene or radio(s) (ideally within a half mile or so) to hear those things. The only channels that are repeated and can easily be heard throughout the city are Fire/EMS Main and Englewood, CFD Citywide, Joint-Ops, and EMS Command.
