hearing traffic on CG 114 164.300 MHz. sounds like aircraft talking to someone. reporting problem with panel lights.

Kinston , NC area. did not hear him call the local airport which they do when comming in to make "touch and go's"

FYI that the USCG altho not CG/Net-114 as those are P25 digital channels.

You are hearing 164.3000 and it is the USCG
last reported using 118.8 Hz

This is the BASE channel for USCG Air Sta Elizabeth City

well all i can say is it was in the clear and an aircraft and not digital.
and ALL coms for the USCG are NOT P-25. they may well be soon.

True, however those channels identified using CG-1xx and CG-4xx ARE only P25

The CG has many others, but the Alpha Tags for them, even if the same Freq, but if in analog are not CG-1xx or Net-1xx

ie: Here in Mass Air-Sta Cape Cod has used 164.5500 in Analog for years.
Altho 164.5500 in P25 is known as CG-116, the Alpah Tag for the analog is NOT CG-116

point taken . however, at the last communications meeting with district staff they id'ed the channels by the cg-xxx numbers. and that is what i was going on.

this is not the point. the point was the report of activy on the freq.
now let it drop.
i'll just post on my state forum from now on.
