Hello everyone:

Here is an update for the SARA Network in Polk County Iowa. Yesterday I heard fire dispatch refer to "Fire Tac 1, formerly known as Fire Tac 4." The talk group for this is 1856. I don't know of any other changes but I would assume that Fire Tac 5 (1839), and Fire Tac 6 (1847) have been changed to Fire Tac 2, and Fire Tac 3.
I have just submitted this info to the Iowa data base.

Also, I just realized a few days ago that it's been at least a month since I've heard anything on the Ankeny Police car to car channel, (1948). It used to be quite active.

I hope everyone has a great last summer weekend.

There is a lot of new encryption in Polk county, you will hear a lot less (none) car-to-car traffic and local city traffic.

All of the former tac channels have been renamed and a few added.

Thank you sir. Wow, encryption happening more and more. My home town of Decatur, Illinois is almost totally encrypted. My step daughter there is very bummed out! :(

Pretty sure TGID 37710 is a simulcast off of Des Moines PD's channel 1 dispatch on ISICS

UID 7701191 has popped up a few times if that helps, but I'm not paying a whole lot of attention to it.
