Does anyone know what talkgroup channel 104 is associated with ?

It is not listed on Radio Reference. My guess is it's an encrypted channel because the Tactical Team switched over to it after transmitting on ESU 119. I never heard them again.

Does anyone know if you can actaully hear any audio from an encrypted talkgroup...?

youll recieve the encrypted talk group , but wont be able to understand a thing they say , its totally unintelligable.....iv heard the radio techs a couple of times using encrypted talk groups and once on the private call (i-call) if you have a uniden digital scanner , if thier in encryption , the display will flash "NFM" P-25 and then ENC that will positivily let you know its encrypted , and believe me when you hear it , youll know it without looking at the display

So the low power channels, although digital modulation, use a specific frequency as opposed to being part of the trunked system correct ?

I would think that the low power channels would be direct as opposed to repeatered as if the low power channel would trigger the repeater why have it that way in the first place. Low power obviously is there for privacy to avoid everyone hearing whats going other than those in the immeadiate area. That would be my take.
