BC346XT: Channel blanks out momentarily

Let me state that a couple years ago this scanner was programmed via software so I am a newbie when it comes to programming this.

On the BC346XT, I hit a button in error. Now when a channel is being monitored, the scanner will blank the audio out briefly about every 3 seconds. I checked and priority channel says off. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

The software I located recently is Freescan. It does not recognize the scanner. The Uniden firmware utility did see the scanner so no idea why Freescan can't. I believe I am using an RS-232 to USB adapter cable. Maybe there is a better piece of software available?

Perfect, that took care of it. For some reason all bands were set to close call. No idea how that happened.

Did you know of a good program to access the scanner and program it for a PC?

Switch Close call to "Close Call DND"(or disable it), make sure Weather (Wx) alert is disabled, and try turning Priority Mode off (if it's on).
