Noticed the Gaston City site (#2) of the Mecklenburg system is now operating on a control channel frequency that is a rebanded one.

Turns out that the site has temporarily changed two frequencies because of interference between this standalone site and the main simulcast system.

Details in this document..

Also came across the price tag for the Mecklenburg, Sprint Nextel reconfiguration. Nearly $100,500.00.

Info from this link.

Nice finds.
Interesting that we are now 16 months into the signed agreement with Sprint on rebanding.
Wonder what the long set-up delays involve to complete?

The Gaston/Meck site interference problem must have been a "oh sh_t" moment for the radio admins!

Same admin and they never knew this was going to happen?
