Charging batteries in PRO 137

Hey, just a quick question. With the pro 137 if I want to use rechargeable NiMH batteries in the scanner but NOT charge them inside the scanner, I simply select alkaline batteries (even though I am using NiMH) instead of NiMH correct?

Correct.

I do the same thing with my BC346XT.
