Just got my HP-2 today and see that it does not have the same charging cord as my HP-1. With discussions that I see you have to use a 1amp or more when you use ac current. What can you use for a power source if you want to charge & use in a automobile to get 1 amp output & 5 volts? Do they make a 1 amp pigtail or one that you can plug into cigarette lighter. I do understand that a person should charge batteries with a separate charger.

I don't own one, but if I'm reading correctly.. the HP-2 just uses a standard Mini USB cable.
If you're looking to power it in your car and have the standard 12v cigarette lighter port available, grab yourself a 'USB Car Charger' and just make sure it supplies at least 1A.
There are several on Amazon that'll supply 2.4A on two separate ports - at 5 VDC.

Take a look at this one. It works well. But there a bunch of adapters on Amazon, and elsewhere, that will work.
