I am thinking I might have a SDS100 charging issue. I was using the scanner in the car. The battery was lowish (~3.7?) when I left. I hooked up to the usb port in the car and let it charge for a while before I turned it on. All "seemed" ok for a while. At some point I saw on the display of the scanner "low usb voltage..." and probably some more. Wish I took a pic but I didn't. I've used the radio in the car numerous times without issue so I am thinking it is not a car usb voltage issue.
I unplugged the usb and the radio started scanning. I plugged it back in and the voltage on the display increase by ~.2 volts and the red charging led did not come on. I used the scanner plugging in to the usb for 6 hours while driving. The whole time the red charging light did not light. The voltage stayed about the same ~3.99
I get home and plug into my AC adapter to the usb and while off the red charging led illuminates. I let it charge to full when the led goes green and then turn the scanner on. The red led still does not illuminate with the scanner is on. Voltage when plugged in is 4.21
Thoughts???
