I am not currently active on 900MHz other than monitoring with a scanner. I notice the 927.0125MHz KA4YMZ repeater seems to be digital now. What mode is it?

Where would one find a D-Star capable 900MHz transceiver? A local friend thinks that repeater may be using Moto Turbo. A Google search shows there is Moto Turbo equipment available for 900MHZ.

High post count =/= higher knowledge

Folks need to work on providing accurate information before they practice their sarcasm...

The 900 MHz machine in Dallas is in fact a Quantar, which means the digital mode is APCO25. Not sure what the NAC is but I can in fact confirm, without being a jerk, that it is P25. Your only options if you want to use the P25 side is an XTS2500 or an EF Johnson 5100/51 series. Otherwise you can get your kicks with any old analog ham radio or commercial radio.

That 927.0125 also shows on the NCPRN as Mototrbo . It is the only 900 on the PRN. You can look it up on DMR-MARC as well. I cannot post the link it via my phone sorry.

hamstang you have been given 3 answers, mine probably is incorrect, another reply gave you some printed TRBO listing that correlates with what a local friend told you.
Hope one of our replies helped you out.

You are a Ham you can join the system ! It's much cheaper on UHF with the CS700 and it will give a much larger choice of places you can go and get in the NCPRN system.
