Recently, in the last 6~8 months, I’ve noticed that if CFD Main Alarm cancels a unit from running a call, they advise the responding unit to acknowledge on the Hot-Line.
Example: “Engine 31 cancel the run; Engine 31 cancel the run. Acknowledge on the Hot-Line”
Question, what is the ‘Hot-Line’?
- Is it a ring-down phone line?
- Is it a special talkgroup?
- Is it an application on their computer terminals?
If anyone can shed some light on this, I am curious.
