Charlotte hamfest in new location March 14 - 15, 2009

I know some of you guys have to plan ahead for time off (like me) so this should be enough time I've never been to the new location but it looks like it should be great enough that I won't even notice driving a few extra miles from Gastonia.

Well it's sad to here he got band someone must not of been able to take one of his jokes. Anyways KE4ZNR you going to go to the Ham Fest ?
I just got my tickett on the 10th, well passed on the 10th and got my tickett on the 23rd of January,
And was wondering what Frequency are they going to be using and what pl if any, and who to contact to get directions ?
I live in Kershaw county SC and use the lucknow repeter and fortjackson and scheart repeter and I get Hams from your area on our machine here and if you can give me a shout out on the lucknow repeter or Ft Jackson my Call sign is KJ4JBC
Anyways hope to here from you or someone that can fill me in on the fest Thanks --- Jason

I'm hoping this move will be a real shot in the arm for the hamfest. I've been going to the Charlotte Hamfest since 1975 and it seemed like it really lost something after they moved it from uptown. I've been to an event in this arena and it's very nice. Looking forward to the new location!

Only Skywarn class that I know of as of now is being sponsored by the Foothills Weather Net.

Made it to the Charlotte Hamfest today.
Bought some needed stuff.
Couldn't find some needed stuff.
Saw old friends and met new friends.
All and all a good fest.
Kudos to MARS for a job well done.
