Am I to assume that the Adam, Baker, Charlie, and David calls are districts? If so, has anyone found any maps on what areas signify the districts?
Also, the BC246 only allows 200 channels per system, so I have had to delete the Edward and Frank TG's (which show in the database as used for future use). Are these active at this time?
Thanks

First of all, the Adam, Baker, Charlie and David groups have been renamed. Check out the mecklenburg county section in RR Database (not the trunked section but the bottom of the conventional section) for talkgroup remapping. You will still hear the officers and dispatchers refer to the old group namse at times.
Secondly, I ran into the same problem trying to program the entire CharMeck system (200 channel limit). What I did was actually create 3 different systems to cover the county. I created a group that just contained the "main" groups for each agency. Main CMPD (not Edward or Frank, no investigator, just the old groups you refeerred to above). Primary CFD and Medic channels and the full list on North MEck groups and county fire. Then I created a complete system of CMPD groups and a (almost) complete system of Fire and EMS groups. It's posted on the BC246 Yahoo group if you want it. It IS a work in progress though.

I got everything into two systems. Would have been nice if there had been no limit to channels. Ie, having two systems for Chameck means that the auto search and store is pretty much useless as far as I can see.
Meaning, between the two systems I have every talk group programmed. However, I'm assuming the auto search and store will only checked for programmed TG's on one system at a time. So, I may have a talkgroup alpha tagged and programmed on System 1, but cannot (due to channel limitations), have it programmed on the Charmeck System 2.
So the auto search will be listing TG's I already have programmed.

Any data on how the districts are mapped?

FYI, I previously had copied your data files and was wondering why you had the city split into different sytems. Hours later, after programming myself....I found out why!

gotcha. Like I said, it's kind of a work in progress but its coming along. I need the new CMPD Tac and SCU channels as well as the new EMS channels to be up to date. I've heard comms on a lot of the talkgroups but haven't had time to figure them all out.

Bonus1331 had asked about a map of the districts. This is available on the CMPD web site and the link below. Moving the mouse over the map will show the name of each district. Clicking on each district will bring up the response area within each district. Therefore the unit number 171304 you will know is Independence District or old Baker-3 (17) in response area 3, which is the 4 number.

The link is:
