Mooresville in Iredell County appears to have added additional frequencies to their P-25 trunked system which resides on Charlotte's UASI system. Will submit a request for an update.

I also noticed what appears to be a new conventional frequency (analog) 851.4500 which looks to belong to Mooresville. Haven't heard anything but do believe I heard it id once through the other radio noise...

Mooresville has not added anything to their system as far as I know. They have always had the same 12 trunked frequencies (I see you only have 11 listed) for their tower, even when they were on the old 3600 system. Those frequencies can be found under FCC Callsign WPYJ821 (MOORESVILLE, TOWN OF).

As for the conventional, I'm not too familiar with that but that frequency can be found under the license FCC Callsign WQMR236 (MOORESVILLE, TOWN OF)

I'm new to the area and very well could be wrong, but looking at the Radio Reference database for the Charlotte (UASI) - Mooresville site, it shows 8 frequencies. Pro96Com shows 11.

Well yes, the database really isn't updated with voice channels because they really don't matter as long as you have the CC and alt CC. If you check out those 2 licenses I posted above, that's where you can find all your voice channels for the system.

I'll update the database. Dray is correct, the site has always been 12 channels. Fixed bases are still required to ID every 30 minutes so you will usually hear the lowest frequency in a 7/800 trunked system switch over to analog mode and broadcast the license via Morse code. It usually happens in conjunction with the CWID over the control channel which is visible on Pro96Com.

851.4500 is not part of the trunked system. I mention it because it isn’t on the RR Iredell County page. It looks like a new, standalone analog frequency.

So, I guess since you’re counting, it makes 11 system frequencies not 12.

There are 12. Take a look at the license (FCC Callsign WPYJ821 (MOORESVILLE, TOWN OF)). The FB2 means it's a repeater. If you count them up, there are 12 of them. Also really don't need to license because the system administrator has told me there are 12 frequencies for the Mooresville site. And you are correct, 851.450 is not part of the trunking system. Once again, here is the license for that (FCC Callsign WQMR236 (MOORESVILLE, TOWN OF)).

There are 12 trunked frequencies in use at the Mooresville ASR. The CWID occurs on 851.4500 and broadcasts the callsign WPYJ821 at 26 & 56 past the hour, every hour.

As it is the BSI channel, the 851.4500 frequency is protected by default and will not see use as a voice channel unless the other 7 voice channels are in use at the same time, only THEN will 851.4500 be used, and then the alternate control channels if need be. The Mooresville ASR is not very busy so the likelihood of hearing voice traffic on 851.4500 is slim but you will hear a Morse code identifier every 30 minutes. Run Pro96Com for more than 30 minutes and you'll see all 12 channels in use.

That’s a much better explanation than there are 12, period.. looks to be almost on-demand. Thanks for the update.
