Charlottesville-Albemarle Reg Jail

I discovered this evening that the Charlottesville-Albemarle Jail has apparently gone to DMR.

WQYA926 is call sign. 453.2625 CC 1 Sl 1 TG 1
Talking about magistrate, moving prisoners, etc.

Also listened on the zone for the jail on bcd436hp and nothing heard. I'm wondering if they have the 800 mhz radios even anymore!

I think they do, but I could be wrong.



It's interesting that they would do anything DMR, since the CECC is moving to a P25 P2 system.

For some reason I cannot get my 436 to even scan that frequency. I have the DMR upgrade and can see it in my favorites, but cannot manually put the scanner onto that channel. Any suggestions?

Can you hold on that channel? How do you have it programmed? I get it no problem
