Hello,

I am curious if anyone knows if they are coming along with their new system with Central Nebraska Radio Interopibility(CNRI). I see some new articles from Newspaper out there when I google. I know a SMR ,it is owned by Nextel/Sprint, is being turned of at the end of the month for all the law in Chase County. They will be on lowband until they are done with this system. Thanks for any information.

I heard that the state of Nebraska will be doing reginal trunking systems through out the state instead of a statewide trunking system. I heard this in the beginning of the year. That might be what you are finding.

Thanks, I knew the state is supporting Regional Systems or Agreements. I know of a group of counties that is going High Band and will have some common frequencies. I like this idea, I don't think there is a need to talk across the state other then the NSP.

With Regional Systems, you will see areas using VHF Highband repeaters, some 800 Trunking, Some UHF Repeaters and even some UHF Trunking in Passport or LTR styles. It will benefit for cost ratio will be better then a state wide system.

I bet Madison SO and PD will be on 800 EDACS becuase that way they can build a system that Norfolk be can be added to. Norfolk can then, stop paying RACOM for rent on their system. Just my observation.

I talked to the Cheif Of Police today he said they MPD won't go to a new system until next year. & he added that the system will be EDACS covering MADISON,BATTLE CREEK,NEWMAN GROVE & TILDEN PD/FD. But will not receive Norfolk System. But also added if the grants is not their for the system , they will look @ 150MHz ,140MHz and 450MHz. Unknown if those 3 will be TRUNKED.

It would makes sense for them to go UHF because the jail has it. With UHF you get better building pentration then VHF. So time will tell.

Which counties are going to the new radio system. Chief Of PD Madison said today , they are looking at a system of; 150MHz, 144MHz & 450 MHz & next year EDACS for Madison County except for Norfolk since 800 band listing range is limited.
Do you have any talk groups for NPD that i can enter into my pro-92 .
Thank you very much!
Rob.

Have a good evening.

Radios

I doubt they will be in 144mhz because that is Amateur Radio Band.

I am sure they have the NPD Talkgroup here underneath Madison County here. I don't know them, or within range to hear it.

Chase County is in the Southwest Corner of Nebraska so I think that group of counties called themselves Central Nebraska Radio Interop Group (CNRIG).

Dear Scanner Nut, Chief of PD for Madison said it's up to Sheriff to do the switch over for a new radio system , but so far he[Chief] told me that their is no money in the grant for a new system this year maybe next year. But they might get MDT's for MPD/MSO like Norfolk did w/ their six units.

I know when i listing to Norfolk PD or LifeNet the single breaks up when i am about 2 mile S. of Norfolk Airport . When coming into Norfolk i can receive them about 1 1/2 of mile N. of the airport just for your info.

Central Ne Radio System

I was in on the last meeting they had for Madison Stanton Pierce and Antelope Co and they were looking at multiple analog conventional repeaters with simplex channels for talking between dispatch centers.

Will Madison PD & SO be on the same frequencies as they are now 39.3600 & 453.5750 & MVFD 39.9000. Or what frequency will they be operating on if the switch?

Thanks !

You say Madison PD will go "Analog & Simplex repeaters" for a few counties in N/E Nebraska. I reply back to you to find out if the frequencies will remain the same or will they change. If they do you know what frequencies the will operate on.

Thanks again!
