SDS100: Chattanooga-Hamilton County TACN Reception

For the past couple of days, I've been trying out a new Uniden SDS100. Using the stock antenna, I am able to receive Chattanooga and Hamilton County agencies on TACN with perfect clarity near downtown Cleveland. Site is identified exclusively as Chattanooga Simulcast. For the benefit of the skeptical, I have locked out the Cleveland, North Bradley and Oswald Dome sites. It seems that the folks at Uniden have indeed solved the digital simulcast problem. In the past, the best we could hope for was some very scratchy reception of the old analog system. For the good folks living in Chattanooga, it looks like the SDS100 may be the toy you've been hoping for.

Hey, I’m new to all this. Ive had the bcd436 since 2015 but I’m just now trying to understand it. I have tons of questions but don’t know where to start. I’m also in your area. I was wondering, if you could help. I really would appreciate any help you could offer. Thanks.

I'd be glad to help. Are you interested in listening primarily from a fixed location, such as home or office, or from your vehicle? Which departments are you most interested in monitoring?
