Cheap and easy dual scanner mount

The other day my daughter was moving her room around. In the process she broke one leg off of her Sauder headboard. While removing the debris I was struck by an idea.

The brackets that attach the headboard to the bed frame looked about right to mount 2 scanners into.. It's not perfect, but it works, see pictures for the results..

It's mounted to wood that was my waterbed in the 80's.. I'm not that fancy
