I was considering picking up a BCD436HP from HRO and held off...two weeks ago it was selling for $399.99 which I was ok with...now it's back up to full retail and I'm not feeling it anymore. Maybe I'll give Jet.com a shot...

The price for the BCD436HP at Jet.com right now is $438.99 with free shipping. Of course that price is before any additional discounts/coupons/promos that may be available to you at the time of your purchase.
The lowest price for the BCD436HP on Amazon.com right now is $429.27 plus $4.99 shipping from Onlines Best Deal.

That is a great price. On amazon best price is $452.
Now it is the same as Jet.com? Looks like there is a 15% discount? Do you have to pay a membership fee?

If you are a 1st time Jet.com buyer just add HP-2 to cart and make account (search for 20% code is what I did) and it will bring the price down. I also got another 1.5% off by using my Debit Card. There is no membership fees.
What year is your C3? I have a '65 C2
Just picked up an HP2 for $370 on eBay. It had the extreme upgrade to boot.

A 327 65 or 396?
Had a 72 454 coupe. It was like driving a heater around. Lots of engine heat from motor so I had to turn on air conditioner.
Amazon has a great return policy or if something goes wrong they will make it right.
How is Jet.com compared to Amazon as far as returns go?
I saw a 15% discount code but not a 20% code on Jet.com
I am not sure if I would want to use a Debit card.
With Amazon you can use their credit card and pay it off in 6 payments without any interest.

I picked up a HP-2 a few weeks ago off Jet for $371 shipped using the "SHOP15" code. It took off 20% and 15% for first time users. HP-2 is brand new and with no issues.
I have since purchased other items off Jet and had to return one item three days ago with no problem. Printed a label and received full return credit this evening.
There will be other deals at other retailers and would not be surprised to see the HP-2's selling under $375 when one sellers supply starts getting heavy and they need to unload excess inventory. Then for a short time (maybe a week) competitors will match that low price until all inventory is sold. If your not in a hurry and are willing to wait you should see a prices drop or a good short term sale. Most people are unwilling to wait and that's why retailers don't reduce prices as long as sales expectations are being met.

tHAT IS good but with Amazon I can make 6 payments interest free though I will pay more than what you did but did you had to pay that whole amount of $371? Does Jet.com allow payments like Amazon?

I do not believe Jet offers credit terms. I usually do not purchase most items unless I have the funds readily available. For me it's too tempting to go into debt and try my best to avoid it. I do have to use a credit card for most purchases but pay it off each month.

Its the 300HP 327.
If you do a google search for Jet.com discount codes you will find several but will have to try them to make sure they work. I purchase most things with a CC (get points) but figured I would get the 1.5% discount so used my Debit card.

327/300 was known to be a reliable engine/workhorse base motor.
As a consumer you will have more protection using a credit card if something doesn't go right.
