Is anyone aware of any major changes to the Police radio traffic in Cherokee County? It seems like everything has gone eerily silent. I haven't used my scanner in quite awhile now but reprogrammed it over the weekend and added all the new frequencies that were added to the RR Database recently. I left it logging all day yesterday and only got about 30 hits total on the Sheriff's Department Channel #1, and zero on the Gaffney PD frequencies over a period of about 12-15 hours. I haven't gone back to to take off PL tones yet, but could it be those have changed? Just curious if anyone else in the area is monitoring and if so have you noticed the same? For some reason it didn't record audio, so I need to repeat the exercise but one of the Emergency Management channels got over 300+ hits during the same time.

In less than 5 minutes of monitoring this evening, I have heard traffic on 460.475/118.8 and 460.275/118.8. I can't say with 100% certainty that these are Cherokee County, but I'm fairly certain they are. I haven't heard any FD traffic yet. But I did just hear traffic on the EMS channel 155.0325/D051.

Seems to me like things are "normal."

Cherokee Co is among the last to have active UHF channels in SC Upstate. That band used to be jammed with Public Safety traffic in these parts.
