Is Cherry Hill Fire operating on the town's EDACS system on a regular basis?

They are in the "test phase". The talk still is fire/ems coming off county to the township system. What they are using it more for is interoperability with pd. Also it allows the units to talk to the BC without using the cell phone, since I believe they gave up Nextel.

I sure hope so (pol/fire/ems), as I spend most of my time monitoring CH and Feds! Been hearing them (Fire) on Citywide-1 TG since they started doing it several months ago.
Strangely, I will hear many txs such as 'unit 13-(whatever) back in quarters', but have one heard a response once.

I'm teling ya.... CHFD is NOT coming off the County system.

Can you state that CHPD WILL remain on their EDACS system, after the new County (TR) system is implemented?

There are no plans for Cherry Hill PD to join the county system.

It will be running by January/February. Since it is a P25 Phase II, I dont believe it can be picked up by any scanner.
The PSR-800 is the only one that can at this point.

Looks like if you pick up a PSR-800 you'll be able to listen to the new county system as well....

Will the CHFD use the EDACS now that they will be using the new county system?
The EDACS radios were removed from CHFD apparatus when the County 700 Mhz radios were installed.
Are there any inter op channels between CHPD and chfd and Cherry Hills EOC?
I think the bcd 996t by uniden will pick it up

All FIRE and EMS in Camden Co switch to the Project 25 Phase 2 (700 Mhz) and no scanner can pick it up except for the GRE PSR 800

Cherry hill twp. fire system operates off camden county nj east opts. They get and will continue to get dispatched by camden county communications center. My opinion i dont think the fire commission for cherry hill twp. have any intentions of going backwards to self dispatch. Like before 1973. Camden County is on a mutual aid system and worked well for 35 years i been in the volunteer system in Camden County

Original post was from Oct, 2012. At that time, Cherry Hill did operate on both Camden County AND CH Twp EDACS radio system, at times. Not a matter of switching to self dispatch but they did use the Twp EDACS system for storms (CH EOC took over fire, EMS dispatching) and for CHFD communications not suitable for County radio.
