I'm fascinated with the Chester County Emergency Comms OpenMhz feed. Does anyone know what this system consists of and how was it programmed? Some of my questions, What type of SDR receiver is being used? What it the sdrTrunk software running on? Where is the system located in the county? What sort of antenna array is used? I'd love to try and replicate the environment myself. I'm located in western chester county in Wallace Twp. Thanks in advance for any help.

You might get the answers you're looking for if you use OpenMHZ to message the broadcaster. Unless said broadcaster is a RR member and happens to see this thread you'll only get assumptions...

Where is the system located in the county?
Visit the system's page and click each link where outlined in red to see where all the sites are

Thank you sir. I had not seen that messaging link in OpenMhz. Reaching out now

I realize this is over a year later, but did you ever hear back? I noticed the feed was removed.

I did hear back directly. Seems like his feed goes up and down from time to time. I've now decided to try a hand at this myself. With VHF effectively now gone, it's looking like its just about time time to upgrade my BC 780 XLT to the latest and greatest. Any thoughts or comments out there for the best state of the art scanner for Chesco? Now I did see a post that says PD is going encrypted in the future....so I wonder if this hobby, like my body is going away?

Not sure on radios these days as I also did on my own with an SDR setup. Shameless plug: CCMHZ if you want to use it. If there is a chance of going encrypted in the future, I would certainly not invest a ton of money into the hobby right now.
